I began my journey with photography by using 35mm film. Everything I know about light, shadow, composition, and capturing the right moments comes from the nexus of my journey into photography.

Chiaroscuro, as in music, shapes how I balance light and shadow, brightness and darkness.
Lines and angles, as in architecture, inform the way I compose my shots. Like a cantilevered building against a grey sky, I work to incorporate the environment around me to reflect the emotional and physical nature of the subject to create something bold, sharp, and organic.
The use of different media and textures, like in visual art, inspires the way I edit and compose colors in my photos.
Mostly, I find out very quickly what makes YOU powerful, beautiful, and a work of art, and I find the best way to bring that out in our session.
